About

Robert's Sculpture was featured in New York Magazine's "Spring Fashion" issue.

Time Out Magazine described Robert George's figurative, bronze sculptures as "Rodin-like," "playful and celebratory" and "recalling Giacometti."

A native of North Carolina, George relocated to New York City to attend the graduate art school of Columbia University. After earning a Master's degree he moved to Pietrasanta, Italy to work in the studios of some of the world's finest figurative sculptors. He returned to New York, opened his own studio and began showing his bronze figures at the Hal Katzen Gallery in Soho and at the Betcher Gallery in Miami, Florida. He continues to show in New York, North Carolina, Atlanta and Miami.

His commissions have included portraits for the Basketball Hall of Fame and a series of 12 figures for the Hartford Opera of Connecticut. His studio, which was featured in New York Magazine's Spring Fashion Issue filled with small to larger than life size figures. His work has also appeared in the Miami Herald, Manhattan Arts International, Max New York, Pretty Decorating and Paper Magazine.
